Leadership
Over the past two decades I’ve led design across complex product ecosystems—from professional creative tools to emerging platforms and healthcare technology. My leadership approach focuses on building strong teams, aligning cross-functional partners, and delivering products people love to use.
Building Trust Across Teams

Strong product outcomes require alignment between design, product, and engineering. I focus on creating early collaboration and a shared understanding of the “why,” so teams can move forward confidently and independently. By helping everyone understand constraints and trade-offs, teams can solve problems together while still delivering great user experiences.
Raising Design Maturity

In several organizations, I helped shift design from reactive execution to a strategic product partner. This included introducing stronger research practices, structured design reviews, user testing, and clearer collaboration models. The goal is keeping teams focused on solving real user problems while aligning with business outcomes.
Aligning Complex Product Ecosystems

Many of the products I’ve worked on involved multiple applications and teams. Aligning the various applications/tools that were created or acquired into cohesive experiences while preserving team autonomy has been a recurring focus at different companies.

Mentoring Designers Into Leaders

Developing strong design leaders is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I focus on helping designers connect their craft to real user outcomes and business impact, while building the confidence and perspective needed to lead teams and influence product direction.
Data-Informed Product Decisions

User research and structured testing help teams move beyond opinion and toward evidence-based decisions. While experience and instinct still play a role, validating ideas with real users early ensures we are building products that truly work for the our intended users.
Building and Scaling Design Teams

I’ve built and led design organizations ranging from small product teams to large multi-disciplinary groups. My focus is creating clear ownership, strong collaboration with product and engineering, and an environment where designers can do their best work while growing their careers.
Connecting Design to Product Impact

Design is most valuable when it directly improves product outcomes. I work closely with product, engineering and leadership teams to ensure design efforts are tied to measurable improvements in user experience, product adoption, and overall business success that we can all deliver.
